European mains plug
European mains plug. This is a 2-pin mains plug built to European CEE 7/7 standards by the Taiwanese company I-Sheng. The plug is designed to take alternating current (AC) at 50 Hertz, 16 amps and 250 volts. In France and Belgium the plug is grounded through a female socket that accepts the grounding pin of the Type E socket. Grounding clips make it compatible with the German Type F (CEE 7/4 'Shuko') socket. This makes this plug usable not only in France and Belgium, but all other European countries except the UK, Ireland and Cyprus.
