U.S. Sheep Experiment Station. Flock of sheep used in research at the U.S. Sheep Experiment Station (USSES). The USSES is a working sheep station that is used to investigate ecosystem processes and the consequences of management practices. The research is mainly focused on what influence climate has on vegetation, what role fire plays in the ecosystem, how exotic weeds invade, and how sheep grazing can be used to improve rangeland ecosystems.
