Tabun Khara Obo crater, Mongolia
Tabun Khara Obo crater, satellite image. This impact crater (upper left, indicated by orange arrows) is in the south east of Mongolia. The crater measures 1.3 kilometres in diameter and has a rim that rise about 25 metres above the crater floor. It was formed around 150 million years ago. Image taken by the Advanced Land Imager (ALI) on NASA's Earth Observing-1 satellite on 28th August 2009.
