Aircraft wreckage. Engine from the wreck of a Boeing B-29 Superfortress that crashed on Bleaklow moorland, near Glossop, Manchester, UK, on 3 November 1948. The aircraft was part of the 16th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron, 91st Reconnaissance Group, 311th Air Division, Strategic Air Command, US Air Force. The aircraft, named 'Overexposed', was an a routine flight and crashed into the hillside while descending through clouds, killing all 13 crew members.
