Young man in monpé (around June 1980): Young man walking down Omotesando, the "Harajuku Champs Elysees," in monpé (new pants). They are either all black or black with white vertical stripes. However, they call them "New Pants" instead of monpé. I bought them because they are in fashion right now. I bought them at Shibuya this spring for 6,900 yen. My mother said they were mongpei, but I like them. Because war is nothing to do with us.
