Saint Seiriol's well
Saint Seiriol's well. This well is located at Penmon, on the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. It is named for the 6th-century saint who started a monastic community on the island. The well has been visited by pilgrims since medieval times for its reputed healing waters. It springs from below a limestone outcrop, and is housed in a roofed chamber (entrance at top). The remains of an ancient dwelling are located nearby.
