Broad-bodied chaser dragonfly
Broad-bodied chaser dragonfly on a plant. Broad-bodied chasers (Libellula depressa) are one of the most common dragonflies in Europe and central Asia. They are very distinctive, with a very broad flattened abdomen, which, in the male, becomes pruinose blue. Photographed in the UK, in June.
