Hydrogenesis fuel-cell ferry
Hydrogenesis fuel-cell ferry, Bristol docks, Bristol, UK. This is the UK's first fuel-cell ferry. Its electric motor is powered by electricity from a fuel cell, fuelled by compressed hydrogen gas and oxygen. The only emission is water. Hydrogen fuel cells offer the possibility of pollution-free marine propulsion by renewable energy, providing the hydrogen is produced by electricity from renewable sources.
