Exemestane breast cancer drug molecule
Exemestane. Molecular model of the aromatase inhibitor drug exemestane (C20.H24.O2), used to treat breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors block the synthesis of oestrogen, and this can slow the growth of some types of break cancer. Exemestane is marketed under the trade name Aromasin. Atoms (spheres) are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white) and oxygen (red).
