At the nucleus's centre is the nucleolus (blue). Other organelles are the endoplasmic reticulum (folded, blue) and Golgi bodies (green), both involved in protein synthesis and storage. Mitochondria (oval, blue) produce energy, Centrioles (green cylinders) form part of the cell's cytoskeleton. A cell membrane encloses the whole cell.
