Spiral galaxy NGC 4921, HST image
Spiral galaxy NGC 4921, Hubble Space Telescope (HST) image. This spiral galaxy, seen face-on, is part of the Coma Cluster of galaxies. The galactic nucleus is surrounded by spiral arms of stars and dust lanes. It is 250 million light years away in the constellation of Coma Berenices. This combined infrared and optical image was obtained by Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS). It was published in February 2009.
