Cretaceous land and marine life, artwork
A scene during the Late Cretaceous (Maastrichtian). It shows mainly heteromorph ammonites. The heteromorphs shown from left to right are: (No Suggestions) on the seaweed, Didymoceras on the seafloor, baculites (with straight, vertical shell) suspended in water and turrilites on the top right. The large ammonite is a Pachydiscus; another is half-shown at the bottom right. Lurking in the background is a Mosasaurus. Above the water a T.rex is stalking a herd of Hypacrosaurus.
