A bottle of Hexane-1,6-diamine, also known as 1,6-diaminohexane, dissolved in water. This is a diamine, with a six-carbon chain terminated at each end by an amine functional group. Its chemical formula is H2N(CH2)6NH2. It is used almost exclusively in the manufacture of polymers, particularly nylons.
