Light microscopy of cancer of the large bowel. This malignant tumour of the glands of the large bowel (adenocarcinoma) is growing and invading into the wall of the bowel between otherwise normal bowel tissues (left and right). Bowel cancers may arise in response to many factors including exposure to carcinogens, high fat-low fibre diet, inflammatory conditions, and a family history of specific genetic disorders. Magnification x10 when narrow width printed at 10 cm.
