Jupiter seen from Juno spacecraft. View of Jupiter and its four largest moons (small dots), as seen from the JunoCam instrument on NASA's Juno spacecraft. Jupiter is seen half in shadow and half in sunlight. This view was obtained on 29 June 2016, before Juno's instruments were powered down in preparation for orbit insertion over the planet's North Pole. Juno was at a distance of of 5.3 million kilometres from Jupiter. From left to right, the moons are Ganymede (lower left), Io (just left of Jupiter), Callisto (upper right), and Europa (far centre right). Juno arrived at Jupiter in July 2016. It will orbit Jupiter 32 times over the next year, gathering information about the planet's atmosphere, magnetic field and gravitational field.
