Tucume archaeological site, Peru
Tucume archaeological site. Excavation work at Plaza Central in the Valley of the Pyramids, part of the Tucume archaeological site on the northern coast of Peru. This area was successively inhabited by the Sican (Lambayeque) and Chimu cultures between 800 and 1450. This excavation dates to the Sican period. Photographed in 2016.
