Japan: 1990, Tokyo - Konishiki wears an ornamented apron for a ring entry ceremony during a grand sumo tournament in Tokyo in 1990. Born Saleva'a Fuauli Atisano'e, Konishiki became the first foreign-born wrestler ever to reach ozeki, the second highest rank in the sport. His career spanned 15 years from 1982 to 1997.
