Maple syrup production, wood-fired boiler
Maple syrup production, wood-fired boiler. Maple syrup is made from the sap of various maple trees. Most of the water is removed by reverse osmosis before the sap is directed to this wood-fired boiler, where additional water is boiled away to produce the syrup. Photographed at an H and H Sugarbush facility, on 18 March 2017 during a Michigan Maple Syrup Weekend, in Chelsea, Michigan, USA.
