Breast cancer, MRI scan
Breast cancer. Sagittal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of a breast showing a mucinous carcinoma of the breast beneath the nipple. This is sometimes called 'colloid carcinoma'. It is a rare form of invasive ductal carcinoma, with a cyst-like structure containing cancer cells floating in mucus. This is a relatively rare form of breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Symptoms include painless lumps in the breast, a dark discharge from the nipple, and an indentation of the nipple. Early diagnosis can be made by mammography or self-examination.
