Sigillaria sp. plant, illustration. Sigillaria were tree-like plants related to clubmosses and quillworts. They grew up to 30 metres high. Some had a forked trunk at the top as shown here. Sigillaria were found in coal swamps during the Carboniferous Period (354-290 million years ago).
