Model Twiggy (right) steps off the ramp upon arrival at Haneda International Airport, the queen of minis visiting Japan.
British model Twiggy, who became an international idol with the popularity of the miniskirt, arrived in Japan on October 18, 1967, on a SAS plane arriving at Haneda Airport. She looked startled by the flashes of the press cameras that came flooding in the moment she stepped off the plane's ramp, but she did not forget to smile like a model.
