Wdowiak Ridge on Mars, Opportunity rover image
Wdowiak Ridge on Mars, as seen by the panoramic camera on the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. The view looks northwards back toward part of the west rim of Endeavour Crater, with the rover's tracks visible at lower right. Wdowiak Ridge is informally named for a member of the Opportunity science team. This image was obtained on 17 September 2014, on the 3786th Martian day the rover had spent on Mars. Opportunity landed on Mars on 25 January 2004. It is still operating as of 2018, having travelled over 45 kilometres in the 14 years it has been exploring the surface of Mars.
