Giant meteorite crater in Quebec
Infrared space photograph of the giant Manicouagan meteorite crater in Quebec, Canada. The crater, which is clearly marked by the ring-shaped lake (black) around its rim, is believed to have been produced by the impact of a massive meteorite. The photograph was taken from the American Skylab orbiting laboratory.
