Cadbury Castle
Cadbury Castle. Aerial photograph of Cadbury Castle, an Iron Age hill fort (150m) near South Cadbury in Somerset, England. Archaelogical excavations have revealed evidence of a massacre here during the Roman occupation of Britain. The terraces below the trees are known as strip lynchets, a type of medieval agricultural terracing. This site is one of the best known sites asscociated with mythic Arthurian legend and is popularly thought of as Camelot.
