New York City (NYC), mostly at right, is separated from New Jersey (left) by the Hudson River (down centre). Staten Island (bottom left) is also part of NYC. Above it is Newark Bay, New Jersey, into which flow the Passaic (left) and Hackensack (right) rivers. The other four areas of NYC are Manhattan (island, centre), the Bronx (upper right), Queens (centre right) and Brooklyn (lower right). These last two are on Long Island.
