Santos Port, Brazil, satellite image. The city of Santos straddles the island of Sao Vicente (upper left) and the mainland, 65 kilometres south east of Sao Paulo. Santos' seaport is the largest in Latin America and handles a large proportion of the world's coffee exports, as well as other produce such as fruit and cotton. Santos is also a fashionable residential area and has 8 kilometres of fine beaches making it a popular tourist destination. Taken by the Ikonos satellite on 2 October 2000.
