Opening forensic evidence in a lab
Forensic evidence. Forensic scientist removing a cigarette butt from a sealed bag of evidence collected at a crime scene. The butt will be analysed to see if traces of DNA from saliva can be found, which could be used to identify the smoker. This can determine whether the smoker was the victim, the perpetrator or was unrelated to the crime.
