Light microscope. Computer artwork of a wire-frame model of a binocular light microscope. The microscope has two eyepieces to allow a better view of the subject. The subject to be studied would be placed on the tray at centre, and the desired lens selected from the four visible above the tray. The subject would be illuminated by a light (on base at lower centre). This could also represent the computer-aided design (CAD) of precision equipment. In CAD the object can be designed and tested on computer, and faults found before a model is built, saving expense and time.
