Nanoprobe analytical laboratory
MODEL RELEASED. Nanoprobe analytical laboratory. Researcher (right) using a Raman spectroscope and microscope in a laboratory equipped to analyse sample on the nanometre scale. The machine at lower left is a UHV (ultra-high vacuum) nanoprobe machine, which uses four scanning tunnelling microscopes to ensure precision placement of samples. The Raman device uses a laser to analyse the surface composition of a microscopic device. Such machines allow physical and chemical analysis of micromechanical and nanotechnology devices. Photographed at an INEX facility. INEX is a British microsystems and nanotechnology company that was founded in 2002.
