Eye cancer
Eye cancer. Malignant (cancerous) melanoma tumour (dark patch at upper centre) in the conjunctiva of the eye. The conjunctiva is the clear membrane covering the surface of the eye. Although the tumour has no effect on vision here, the tumour is likely to grow, causing blurred or double vision and eventual vision loss. Treatment includes surgically removing the tumour, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, plaque therapy and laser therapy.
