Cannabis. Smouldering roll (joint) of cannabis or marijuana. The leaves and flowering tops of the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) are dried and smoked in the same way that tobacco is smoked in cigarettes. Cannabis is an illegal drug in most countries. It is smoked for the feelings of mental relaxation, a perception of slowed time and a heightening of the senses. Prolonged use can lead to psychological problems and lung disease.
