Tokyo under the Coronavirus: First Versus Third Lockdown

Although some department stores closed during the third state of emergency, most stores actually remained open.
On April 23, Japan proclaimed its third state of emergency for Tokyo and three other prefectures to counter a renewed coronavirus surge.
