Post-operative care, tendon surgery
Post-operative hospital care. Nurses caring for a teenage boy who is recovering from surgery to the tendons in his legs. They have removed the bandages and support cast from his right leg, and they are cleaning his surgical wounds before replacing the cast and bandages. The nurse doing the cleaning is using sterile gloves to prevent infection. The patient is breathing an anaesthetic (in green bag) through a mask to relieve the pain during this procedure.
