Dissected tendons in barcoded vials
Dissected knee tendons in barcoded donor organ vials. The barcode contains information about tissue type and enables precise tracking of the donor tissue. Tendons from donors can be kept in storage in tissue banks and then transplanted as allografts into suitable recipients when they are required. Tissue samples are kept with the tendons so that the tendons can be checked for compatability with the recipient and for disease.
