Tuberculosis drugs
Tuberculosis drugs. Collection of antibiotics used to treat infection by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This usually infects the lungs and can cause severe scarring. If tuberculosis is not completely eradicated, then drug-resistant forms can develop. The recommended strategy is DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course), where the taking of the drugs is supervised by medical personnel. These are doses prescribed to children.
