Deformed uterus, X-ray
Deformed uterus, X-ray. This is a hysterosalpingo- graph, where a contrast medium has been injected into the abdomen, of a deformed uterus (white). The deformity resulted from incomplete development so that the uterus is made up of two hollow compartments. The Fallopian tubes or oviducts (twisting tubes, upper left and centre right) are also seen. Although the patient's ovaries function normally, it would not be possible for the patient to become pregnant. Reconstructive surgery may be possible, especially if irregular periods or heavier belding was experienced, there is no guarantee that this would allow a full term pregnancy to occur.
