Brain Bank
Brain bank. Human brain sections stored at the Harvard Brain and Tissue Resource Centre, USA. The brains are preserved in formalin and kept in plastic tubs. This is the largest brain bank in the world. It stores over 3,000 healthy and diseased brains for medical research into diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and schizophrenia.
