Turtle treatment
Turtle treatment. Syringe being used to deliver drugs to treat a sick green turtle (Chelonia mydas). The green turtle is found in tropical waters worldwide. This green turtle is being cared for at the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center, part of the Beachcomber Intercontinental Hotel, on the Pacific island of Moorea, French Polynesia. The center, established in February 2004, is part of a program to conserve sea turtles, which are endangered animals that are protected under international law.
