Turtle veterinarian
Turtle veterinarian Cecile Gaspar preparing drugs that will be used to treat a sick sea turtle. This is the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center, at the Beachcomber Intercontinental Hotel, on the Pacific island of Moorea, French Polynesia. The center, established in February 2004, is part of a program to conserve sea turtles, which are endangered animals that are protected under international law. The three most common turtles in this region are the green turtle, the hawksbill turtle, and the leatherback turtle.
