Menopause

The pituitary gland (red, lower left) controls the release of FSH (follicle- stimulating hormone), which prompts ovulation. It stops producing FSH at menopause. Some of the symptoms associated with the menopause include vaginitis, atherosclerosis & osteoporosis. An HRT (hormone replacement therapy) patch (lower right replaces hormones, through the skin, easing these symptoms.
