Thermogram of man
Man's head & shoulders. Thermogram of the front view of a man shortly after he removed his sunglasses. The sunglasses are hanging around his neck. The image shows the variation in temperature. The temperature scale runs from white (warmest) through yellow, orange, red, green, cyan, blue, purple to black (coldest). Thermography is a technique for visualising the temperature of surfaces (such as skin). The heat is displayed as different colours representing different temperatures. Here the hot sunglasses are contrasted with the temperature of the body and the recently uncovered eyes.
