Men of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade fighting outbreak of fire in the City of London 19 November 1897. About 100 warehouses destroyed and the roof of St Giles Church, Cripplegate which had survived Great Fire of 1666 was damaged and John Milton's monument burnt.
