Hyperbaric training research
Hyperbaric training research. Man performing exercises in a hyperbaric (high pressure) chamber. During the exercises, his body is monitored to see how it responds. In a high pressure environment the body can absorb more oxygen, which improves healing and recovery rates. Training in such an environment makes it possible to increase muscle force and decrease lactic acid production, which increases endurance. It also speeds recovery after exercise. Photographed at Comex, Marseilles, France.
