Moon surface detail
Photograph of the south eastern portion of the waning, gibbous Moon. The edge of the Mare Tranquillitatis can be seen at the top of the photo. The chain of three craters lying just to the left of the terminator (the day-night boundary) are Theophilus (top), Cyrillus (centre) and Catharina (bottom). Below these, crossing the teminator, is the Altai Escarpment. See back of print 01 for technical details.
