Failed \Return to Flight\" launch"
Failed \Return to Flight\" launch. Space shuttle Discovery at Launch Pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA, on 13 July 2005. This launch of Discovery, scheduled for 15:51 local time, was abandoned because a sensor in the main external fuel tank (orange) malfunctioned. Gases were venting from the base of the shuttle. This is part of mission STS-114, \"Return to Flight\", the first flight of a space shuttle since the space shuttle Columbia broke up on re-entry in February 2003. The sensor design was tested and the shuttle finally launched on 26 July 2005."
