Electricity substation at sunset
Electricity distribution complex. Electrical insulators at an electricity distribution facility at a power station at sunset. The insulators, made up of a column of discs of ceramic-like material, are designed to prevent any electricity being lost to the ground or nearby metal objects. At distribution facilities such as this one, electricity is dispatched through cables borne on pylons (seen at lower right) to sub- stations in nearby towns and cities.
