The taxable property is listed as quot34 slaves 10 horses and 1 Coachie,quot as well as four hundred and ninetyseven 497 acres of land, twentyeight 28 county and poor levies at one 1 dollar and twentynine 29 cents each, and six hundred and thirtynine 639 acres of land from the Richard Rouzee Estate. The total amount due was sixtyone 61 dollars and ten 10 cents. The payment was received from Robert P. Waring on October 15, 1835. The document is signed at the bottom right by Robert Hill. On the reverse is written quotRouzee Johns Est.quot along with notes about the amount and date paid.
