Wearable computer: name tags
Wearable computing. Men wearing computer GroupWear name tags. Personal information programmed into the tags is being transferred using infrared during this face-to-face meeting. The lights along the top of the tags, for example, may be used to show how many multiple choice questions, answered before a meeting, the participants agreed on. The tags can also be used to collect data about who talked to who, allowing the types of social interaction to be studied. GroupWear tags were created at the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
