Cray supercomputer
The CRAY X-MP/48 supercomputer is distinguished by its unique shape & bright colouring. It consists of four central processors, & has a capacity of 8 million bits of shared memory & 128 million words (1 giga-octet) of solid state memory. The photograph was taken in the Computer Centre at CERN, the European centre for particle physics research near Geneva. Photo taken April 1989.
