Flame test on ceiling insulator
Fire prevention test. An insulating material used in office ceilings undergoing a fire resistance test. The material consists of a metal foil covering and a base material. Here several gas burners are used to provide an intense fire. The heat has burned through the metal foil, and has reached the base material. This test showed that the base material produced bubbles of a flammable gas on intense heating.
